I copy pasted it out of official Igg Forum :

To all current TGE/CW members
EonMaster here,

As luck would have it, my computer got hit with a vicious malware today and so my laptop will be in my school IT building til this weekend at best. Even after having up to date anti-virus and spyware, I got hit by a rouge anti-spyware program called XP Internet Security 2010, in which all attempts to remove it myself failed. For right now I am forced to use library computers, so I cannot get ingame or use vent/TS/forums or any other form of communication to get this information to you to say why I mysteriously go absent just after a new patch comes out.

Love that its in the middle of my midterm week to boot, good thing I had all of my assignments i started printed out already

To Mods, if this is in the wrong section, plz move to the appropriate area.

To players on Columbus, if any of you know people in TGE/CW alliance, plz relay this info to them. thx

Happy hunting and beware of a**hats who want to harm your computers,
EonMaster of the Clan Hook guild

PS. I just hope that when I get it back the memeory isn't wiped out. Would suck having to redownload all the various programs I had on it.

Really, this virus is dangerous! I had it to... You get it from visiting a internet page and suddenly is sais: warning virus alert. You get like 15 hits from another scanner (antivir XP 2010) than yours. It sais if u want to remove the virus than you'll have to buy the full version. And the damn virus keeps coming. AVG didn't find anything on scan and advantually i got it out myself, to bad i can't start up voyage now anymore on that pc. I can'tstart anygram the normal way, than it sais it cant open the pad or file or something.

So Really be carefull! I think this virus is mostly on bad payed torrent sites and that kind of things... Cause i got it when searching for a youtubedownloader. It installed itself without asking and suddenly it was there.

Trying to install a new windows but my pc wont start up with the disk :(

Greetz, hidhid

Fake anti-virus programs seem to be a hot trend. As my family's PC white blood cell, I've had to heal two PCs in the past year because of these. One just within the last month. It actually generated random names for its files and registries, I wonder if this was the reason the anti-virus programs we had were unable to find and kill it. Thankfully, there is the internet, and I found a number of instructions to remove it myself file by file. Because there were a few independent sites all suggesting the same general method, I felt it was safe enough to attempt, and yipee!! it worked.. without losing any files, programs, or reinstalling OS.
